Poor sod would have about as much chance if they entered him on a racing Camel.

No quarrel with Polita - He took 11th at the opening swimathon in atrocious conditions. But so far the Panigale seems to be a bit of a mongrel.

As a long-term Ducati owner and fan, it's so sad to see the trivial and pathetic involvement that Ducati has in BSB right now.
Compared to when the 999 was seriously at the pointy end with Airwaves, the current 'effort' is trivial and an insult to their customers.
Perhaps they have blown (wasted) all their cash on Rossi, but their current performance hardly encourages me to rush out & spend my hard-earned wonga on a Panigale.

no perhaps about it, ducati is a tini tiny company and the same "vacuum effect" regarding rossi has occured with AMA in the states. theres a reason former ducati campaigners pegram and disalvo now find themselves on BMW and triumph.

Polita is a class act, just the bike lacks the pace - but was always going to be a tough ask in the most competitive national championship in the world and in full media glare! Also they are having to learn about the Motec control ECU whereas they have data for all other marques. In the wet qualifying at Thruxton he was comfortably inside the top 10, hope he goes well at Donington
