“MotoGP could be a possibility, but I don't want to battle for 14th of 15th position… I still have unfinished business in World Superbikes” - Tommy Hill.

He needs to stay clear of the paul bird outfit. If rea moves to gresini then id like to see hill on the ten kate firblade.

Also... Brookes for 2012 bsb title!

Hill may not want to fight over 14th and 15th positions but at least by going the CRT route it's a foot in the door so to speak, and he gets to learn the new tracks, carbon fibre brakes and more importantly Bridgestone tyres.

This is why I think Rea should go CRT if the last RCV is not available, why spend another year chasing the WSBK title on an uncompetitive Fireblade when he could be familiarising himself with MotoGP, and be upto speed when he finally does get that satelite/factory ride.

no, SATELLITE bikes are a foot in the door. CRT...? "foot in the grave".

NOOOOO...!!! grandprix doesn't need another chris vermulen. if factory prototypes is what he seeks, his talents are better displayed over in WSBK. they have a 2 race format and HD video also ya know...?

If Rea achieves anythnk like what Vermeulen achieved in MotoGP he'll be a happy man. Not to many riders out there can say they've won won and podiumed in GP.

Didn't Hill have a go WSBK and WSS a few years ago and fail massively? Sorry but cant see him beating Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Biaggi, or Melandri.
Sorry but its true.

I thought Swan Yamaha is moving up on WorldSBK next year? Would be nice to see Tommy Hill with American Josh Hayes together! Both are British & American Yamaha Superbike Champions!

Tommy knows his stuff and knows that getting a ride in WSBK or MotoGP is easier said than done, let alone getting a top bike there. Whatever happens, best wishes to Tommy.

The MotoGP offer is for a CRT ride with the PBM team. That is not a top bike (not even the top CRT bike) so there would be no chance of winning. I think he should pass on that offer. I think it is more likely to go to Shakey Byrne anyway who has the advantage of being a current PBM rider in BSB and a former MotoGP rider for Aprilia and KR / KTM.

I presume the WSBK offer is from Crescent Suzuki to replace John Hopkins (with John perhaps focussing on developing the Suzuki MotoGP project). This would also not be a top bike and winning would be unlikely, but a good performance could lead to a better ride.

@wtf - Yes Hill has raced in WSBK before. The reason for his "fail" is that his femur was broken for virtually the entire period - in fact on his comeback ride he was torpedoed by another rider who missed his braking marker and the femur was broken again.
