Mcn is a tabloid newspaper mate. I suppose your life facts are from the sun and sport. Hill does deserve to win as do shakey and Brookes. They all work hard at it.

They do all deserve to win, would like to see Brookes win as he has tried to so hard and never won it before.

If hill wins then hopefully he steps up to bigger things, I want him in WSB before he is too old,if he hadn't spent so many years riding for rob mac who knows what he would have achieved.

Byrne is a double champion and another championship equals kiyo's record,he will be the first rider to win on a Kawasaki since???? (Has a Kwak rider ever one?)

Byrne has done more on a kwak in a season than most teams have over the last 7 years. The zx10r is a great engine but geometry limits its chassis to being quick over a lap as over race distance you have to over ride it which wears out the rider and the tyres by mid race distance, youre a lot fresher at the end of a race on a honda/suz/yam whether its a 6 lap club race dash or 26 lap superstock race.Hawk made a good start with richards/smart in 05,mss hasnt achieved much until they nearly had a win at mallory when brookes played skittles and a pole at thruxton has been about it until now

Looks like this year its Tommy's turn to be a victim of this dumb scoring system, last year it was Shakey.....wonder how long it'll be before they have Simon Cowell involved?
Now's the time for Nori to get his act together, win every race by a mile and show this farce up for what it is...

Surely at the ripe old age of 26 Tommy Hill has to be considered to be too old to step up. When you consider the motogp champion is retiring at 26 and Tommys former rival John Hopkins was making his come back after years of top level racing at 26. When you have 18 year olds winning wsbk races surely it would make more sense to give someone like PJ Jacobsen a shot.

@ Big mick....

18 year olds winning wsbk races? Must have missed that, who was it???

Max ain't doin' so bad for an old timer, 41, just about old enough to be Tommy's dad!

PJ looks like a great talent but at 19 and not a lot of experience out of the US is could be counterproductive to totally throw him in at the deep end - he'll no doubt be guaranteed a ride in BSB next season if he wants it, which would shop-window his talents even further, and I could also see him in WSS as his first foray into world championship racing.

Shakey Byrne isn't a Londoner - he's from Sittingbourne in Kent and now lives on the Isle of Sheppey (also in Kent) plus he has a house in Spain (not in Kent).

Good luck to them all - hope we get some great racing.

PS Byrne was nicknamed "London" by Jezza McWilliams who he nicknamed "Belfast" when they were team mates.

Baz is 18 isn't he? I'm nearly sure of it.

Biaggi does go well for an older racer but was also a world champion by 22.

I have to admit I didn't like bsb's showdown system but with this years wsbk and gp championships all but won with races to spare (same as last year) its won me over. Who could forget last years unbelievable finish. This year is shaping up the same, fingers crossed!
