@ Big mick....

Aaaahhh, you got me there sunshine, forgot about Baz! But to be fair that was a weather affected race, his performance otherwise hasn't really set the world on fire, tho' he does have great potential.
Max is a fine example of what happens when a domestic federation gets behind its young riders and grooms them specifically for world championship competition, just as they are with Team Italia and the likes of Fenati now.
Conversely BSB has no interest in furthering the career of participants in their 'show', in many cases they actively discourage young riders participating outside of the series...any rider that manages to move on does so on their own, the only benefit they get from BSB is the by-product of the series PR machine giving them exposure, but career progression to international level for riders involved in the seies is not the aim of Higgs,Palmer & Co, unless it is WITHIN the series.

PP916, spot on, they are only interested in improving their series (although if i look at this impartially, wouldn't you and i do the same if we were running a series? We'd want our to be successful and screw everyone else).

Wait until he starts a European Superbike Championship. I reckon they are thinking about it tbh

Sorry to nit pick Big Mick but Baz is 19 :)

Err... Actually Shakey Byrne IS a Londoner. He was born in Lambeth, which last time I looked is in...LONDON..!!

Just because his parents moved to the Isle of Sheppey when he was a lad, doesn't change where he was born...

I was also born on the Isle of Sheppey and grew up in the Sittingbourne area at the same time as Shakey.
