Great to see some young blood giving it to the older riders.
Hope he doesn't get snapped up for a World championship too soon, also good to see Bridewell getting among the "Usual Suspects".
BSB is better by far than the current Grand Prix race class, note the amount of foreigners lining up to race in the championship .
Control ECU doesn't seem to be hurting the quality either.
Down to the bookies quick.

Stunning riding thats been coming now for a long time...hope he doesnt go to a high pressure team too early (samsung honda). He seems to be a confidence rider and this team suits him. Saying that, would like to see him in WSS on a good package.

Stunning riding by Lowes.

I also want to hear a mention on this site of the amazing performance of PJ Jacobsen - another incredibly talented young man whose career I look forward to following.

That second race was one of the best races of this year in any class, including MotoGP and WSBK. As a spectacle of the brilliance of motorcycle racing it had the lot. Close, determined, fast, skilful, dangerous and awesome. I actually shouted out loud as Alex took the win, in a scene that brought to mind Roberts and Sheene's battle back in 1979. I really hope that Lowes can carry this on to Brands and make this a really close battle for the title.

Alex Lowes when asked (on the grid) about tire choice which had been been a hot topic all weekend...

" I don't care.. If it's black and round I 'll race on it"

As a fellow Lincolnshire Yellow Belly I just love this kind of attitude to going racing...

Sick Cylinder@
Totally agree with you on the PJ Jacobson comment.
This lad will go far.
Fast and hard rider with just one goal.WIN WIN WIN.
I would love to see him on a superbike in BSB.
He would be a good help to Josh Brookes at Brands because Seeley cannot do anything to help Josh from where he will be in the race on current form and i truly believe Jacobson could run at the front..IMHO he is that good.

well i was enjoying a good day of motorcycle racing then they show a repeat of a somewhat boring motogp in between live bsb, well done eurosport, shame bbc cannot win rights to show all the motogp then maybe we can watch it uninterupted

What a fantastic day's entertainment Silverstone provided, just goes to show that racing's better without a plethora of electronic aids. So pleased for Alex, he had a tough year last year but has got his head now and proving a lot of people wrong. If there's a more popular winner in any class of bike racing this year, I'd like to see him or perhaps her!
