BSB » PBM to combine BSB, MotoGP in 2013

"We would love to retain Shakey's services next year, whether it be in MotoGP or BSB, as we will be contesting both championships again" - Paul Bird.

Congratulations to Shakey and the team. They did a great job after leaving WSB with bad results.
I would love to see Keith Farmer with the team next year. Shane should try CRT or WSB. I don't know if defending the title is a good idea. Kiyonari and Hill failed to do that. Maybe Byrne has to wait for his 4nd championship another four years.

I think Shane is being quite sensible, knowing that he will be P nowehere in Motogp, he has a better chance of winning races in BSB even if he does not retain his title, so why would he want to move.

I would rather see Byrne in BSB again where he has the chance to win.

There will be fewer rides available in WSBK next year so I can't see Byrne going back to that championship.

I can't see what the attraction would be for Byrne to go to CRT unless it was for a big payday.

Like @Ben1 I would also like to see Keith Farmer step up.

Yep keep shakey in BSB with a fit again stu easton. Not sure if the kawasaki WSBK thing would happen coz birdy may not even run kawasaki next year . Put Keith farmer on crt bike. He has raw talent and age on his side.

I like your idea @Maggsy to keep Stuart in BSB and put Keith in CRT. Stuart did an excellent team job helping Byrne this weekend. Farmer has got plenty of talent, but would need a very experienced crew chief if he stepped up to CRT.

Rumour is PBM BSB will be on Ducati Panigales next year, but maybe they could use this years Checa and Guigliano bikes adjusted to BSB spec?

One thing to consider with CRT is that in 2014 it should be a good class becuase the plan is to reduce costs and make the playing field more even. Whoever goes would have a year to learn the tracks ready for 2014 when the bikes will be more even. Still, its a year in the wilderness for someone. Can't see it being a big pay day either with Birdy :-)

Shakey showed his true racing heart when he didn't settle for second in race 3 at Brands.
Paul Bird showed he also has a heart when his emotions overflowed in TV interview.
Stuart Easton showed he had a bigger heart than you would expect in such a tiny frame. AND his injuries made a certain MotoGP's Prima Donna's poorly foot seem as serious as a pimple on his bum.
