Well Done Josh! You are a credit to the championship! Always exciting to watch, and after reading your comments a good all round bloke, nice to acknowledge Shakey as a worthy Champion as he was in the same situation as you last year whereby he'd be champion under the old scoring system. I look forward to seeing you battle next year & hope you are crowned champion, a worthy champion!

Might as well chuck the top 3 riders names into a hat and draw out a winner that way. Farcical. Or how about maybe.. the rider who scores the most points and is therefore the best over the course of the season wins the championship? How crazy would that be!

In fairness, Shaky was the highest overall points scorer in 2011, so who's to say Josh won't win next year's title without being the highest overall scorer? Once again we've seen a rider hit form at just the right time, maybe approaching the races with the showdown in mind, and get injury out of the way when it's less important.

So based on BSB showdown history he will be next years champ just like Shakey is this years one, maybe at the expense of the highest scorer again lol.

I was happy last year as Tommy got it but i still maintain that last year could have been even more exciting had they left the points system alone as you'd of had hopper, tommy and shakey going for it. Same could be said for this season and next

I will now stop going on about it :)

I feel BSB were to hasty in deciding to bring a new scoring system after 2009. Leon's season was just incredible but it will never be repeated again. Although I like Alex Lowes a lot it would of been a crime for him to win the championship this year and he came close to it. BSB should return the normal format, whoever scores the most points over the course of the season deserves the title.

i really do not like the showdown system. i think it makes the middle part of the season meaningless. handy for shakey to be able to miss a couple of rounds to get fit but he would of had to have been at donnington under the old rules. dont get me wrong shakey deserves to be champ because he won. they all know the format before the seasons start so whoever scores the most points is irrelavant and not a true reflection to what would have happened under the old rules. as riders would have not missed mettings and maybe taken more risks for points instead podium credits. but this is the way the out of touch msv are. it seems everyone i speak to does not like the showdown the riders do not seem like it.so who does?

Excellent racing from Josh Brookes, absolutely love watching him race, have met him a few times and he always has time for his fans. Look forward to next year when he will be up for more spectacular racing and hopefully a win. Also good luck Shakey in whatever you choose to do in your career.

Did anyone get pictures of josh when he threw his clothes to the fans I missed it but was told it was hilarious?

Oh dear, this isn't going to go away is it....I can hear the gnashing of Higgs & Palmer's teeth from here!
Thing is, Tommy would have also been second, with Shakey 3rd....that is the true championship standings and every year they perpetuate this dumb scoring system it will rear up to denegrate the achievement of the incumbent champion under their manipulated scoring system.
The trouble with despots is that they are blind to reality and expect their decisions to be accepted without question.
Thanks to Crash for having the balls to highlight the situation yet again.....

having said that well done to josh nice to have been able watch him grow as racer hopefully he will get a wsbk ride soon. i dont mean to go on but i have not posted anything for ages but i think the drop your bike out of the race rule is crazy i think 9 times out 10 a rider would know if the bike was leaking oil or not safe to ride and the team or rider could get a fine if they took the piss but for your race to over after a small spill is crazy. sorry rant over i will crawl back under my shell
