their early/mid season form would suggest otherwise, but come the showdown, they were more or less nowhere to be seen.

I find this interesting. Even Haga at times showed near -front running pace, but either Yamaha lost something or the other teams all gained something.

@Dave - I don't think it shows that at all. Tommy Hill came close to winning the title this year and would have been second to Brookes under the old points system, but Haga was nowhere near and couldn't get into the top six shootout.

Haga used to be able to win on bikes without electronics such as the R7.

Sadly, it shows that it is time to bring down the curtain on Hagas racing career and pass the bike on to another rider.

Shame Nori injured himself before showdown cos he was in the top 6 then. Id love to see him back in WSBK on a decent bike, dont think he"s past it yet! If he does retire, thanks for years of brilliant entertainment. You will always be a legend to your fans

I don't think he'll stay. Been told he has loads of offers in WSB which could be true but i doubt any of those offers are decent and given him a chance of fighting for the title.

Time to hang up those leathers Nori-chan. Looking forward to about 6 years time when the Haga offspring gets onto the grid, they are already racing but think there will end up being a fight (think Kray twins film) to see who gets to keep the #41 :)

Thanks for the memories, have a wonderful life and enjoy your retirement :)
