Robinsons of Rochdale announce plans to return the MV Agusta name to the British Superbike Championship in 2013.

The thing is, racing is the proving ground MV HAVE to use. As a road bike, the F4 is HORRIBLE!! Uncomfortable, harsh, peaky and not actually as fast as expected.

I hope they pull it off though. Hill? Maybe... Scassa? Hopper?

Who knows... But IF they pull it off, lets hope they find their way to WSBK!

Imagine they do... And Yamaha return.. And KTM EVENTUALLY find their way there... With Xaus developing the Bimota with a definite view to compete at WSBK level, that leaves a possible 4 more manufacturers... THAT WOULD BE BLOOMING MARVELLOUS!!!

Great news to have another manufacturer in BSB, I hope they do well. It'd be nice to see some proper involvement from Ducati and Aprilia as well.

@Nick636: Hopper won't be riding next year, he's taking the whole year off to get fit and healthy after all the problems he' had since that MotoGP wildcard at Brno last year.

@Nick636, i think you have never ridden a F4-RR before, your comments are like that of a review from motorcyclenews. I own a MV f4-312R and the latest F4-RR model, and your just talking a load of rubbish.

ellis - I wondered about him too but I seem to remember him saying it was GSE or nothing for him in racing. I did wonder if GSE might return as the new Ducati factory team in SBK.

be interesting to see if the F3 will be able to run with the Triumph should make the series more interesting love the sound of the triple engine

1000 apologies... I didn't realise that last night, while I was sound asleep, the human right to a subjective opinion was BANNED! For me to wake up this morning and discover this after reading your post.... It rocked my world. I do not know how I will continue...

Seriously though, I have ridden one, not for long, but admittedly after reading a full track and road review on Motorcycleusa, and, block your bikes' ears, but I agreed. It is top heavy, compared to ANY ZX10 it's power band is super narrow... I don't collect expensive bikes to show them off. I buy the bikes that make me tingle, andaside from the looks, the F4 just DOESN'T!!!

You could have Jeremy Burgess as manager
Chris Mayhew doing the engines
Phil Borley on the electronics and Shakey riding the bike and it still would not win.
A total PR stunt from MV to keep the great name from the 60s and the 70s going.
A pointless exercise and a total waste of money IMHO.
