'It all depends on budget and I'm not even sure if we'll be doing a full season in the British Superbike Championship to be honest' - Nick Morgan

Real shame as Nick runs an excellent team on a very tight budget. If Birdy moves to MGP full time, I wonder if Nick will get the Kawasaki backing/support full time again?

I truly hope Nick secures budget as with Swan Yamaha off, WFR quitting,(Rob Mac still out), the grid will be very light - potentially up to 7 bikes less, or 9 if Birdy goes.

Best to all concerned

The sudden lack of all the usual teams in bsb is slightly concerning, especially given all the recent cost cutting measures etc etc.

Hope they get it sorted sharpish!

I predict captain jack valentine to return and save us all!

real shame if Nick goes although teams should not be dissapointed to finish outside the top 10 in BSB - its the top domestic series, afterall. dont worry, the grid will be full though. there are some new teams coming in and some stepping up.

@ mike. Correct and I agree. However, it's not good for sponsors. They want exposure and a return for their money. More and more will bite the dust before the start of the 2013 season.

Who cares? Never done anything worthwhile, almost had a win at mallory and had a pole at thruxton but not much to show otherwise, Hicken ran on a smaller budget with better results,pr1mo bournemouth ran a better kwak effort on a smaller budget too.

Im afraid to say it but BSB will become like WRC. There will be 2 or maybe 3 teams and a handful of bikes. The rest (if any) will be just making up the numbers. Sad but I hope it doesnt come to this.

Birdy stated he was staying on in BSB, was on the telly after the last race when he confirmed that.

Here's the thing though, we have tracks with really good spectator support, great TV coverage (ok....can we pretend Carter isn't there for the benefit of this post :P ) and MCE as a committed title sponsor who pay for that privilege. (btw MCE have a contract which i think includes having a certain number of teams/riders on the grid)

Someone is making serious money out of this...it is a very successful series. I hope MSV aren't taking the p*** but it would seem that neither the teams or the riders are doing very well. No win bonuses for teams or riders and an expectation that people will continue to do it because they love the sport...

Oh and just to add, MSV already do really well out of this series given that most of the races are at their tracks.

I consider myself a supporter of them because they have improved BSB since taking over and their tracks/staff/service provided cannot be matched by others (yes you Donington)...that support is something i am starting to question if it turns out they are looking after themselves and nobody else

@Cubikrube great TV coverage? Hardly. Until it's live on a freeview channel it won't get nearly enough viewers. It's TV viewing figures that attract sponsors and govern how much money they are willing to put into a sport.
