To be fair to kiyonari he has three bsb titles And just won the Asia championship. How can that be over rated ?
I think Byrne will be the man to beat but you'd be a fool to bet against Kiyo.
Good luck to Lowes, seems like a very nice chap, and very quick.

I think kio rides on confidence, and in 2011 with what he had going on in his private life and having shaky as a team mate, his confidence was low. Over a full season I don't think he a match for shaky, but the silly showdown isn't over a season, so you never know. But if Lowe's stops falling off he may destroy his confidence.

The point you all seem to be missing is Kiyo left because he couldnt get on with the bike without the air bleed system. Knowing it would be for only 1 season, he joined a championship he knew he could win and therefor regain his confidence. As soon as that was done, hes straight back to where he belongs on a bike with a system he can work with and win with. Get your hard earned cash on Ohalloran to win supersport as hes got Sam Lowes crew chief from PTR working his magic for him. Dead cert.

Who cares if Kiyo left and why he is amazing racer as people said he won 3 championships in bsb and this year the asia cup how is that bad their are plenty of racers who have bad year/s but keep coming back look at Good old Nori (hope he gets a ride) he has had his fair share of bad luck and close calls but people still admire him and will love to see him get a ride for 2013. There are lots of riders past and present that are in this situation I am sure every one could name a few they would like to see back in bsb and wsbk to name 2 troy baylis and kagajama sorry for spelling.

This could go either way.

If they can get the bike right for Kiyo then Shakey, Josh, Alex, and every other rider out there will have to up their game.

And if they can't sort the bike it could be damp squib time.

I really enjoy watching Kiyo race and like the fact he's a freindly humble sort of bloke so I'm hoping they'll sort the bike. :p

Hopefully the Kiyo that returns to BSB is the one that grabbed so many fans to become a firm favourite and not the one we saw in his last season in BSB, That version looked lost and seemed to no longer have a passion to race.

One of the admirable things about Japanese manufacturers is the way they look after their successful riders, sometimes long after that success was achieved....whatever their nationality. But Kiyo's 2011 season was so lacklustre that if they were indeed largely responsible for this move then you have to think their loyalty may be badly misplaced here. Anyone who gets on one of those bikes deserves the utmost respect from mere mortals like me but,as Nori proved this year, everyone has a shelf life at this level sadly.
