This is well deserved, and not just for winning the title. Shakey is fast and consistent. He always has time to chat but never diss's another rider, or his team. He rides fairly, never dirty. And, for a Southerner, he's not a bad bloke either.

Shaky has been class of field for last 2 years and should have won last year, but even thow he was class of field Brookes was most consistant and scored every round, so Brookes should have been champ this year.

@ellis using that logic that means that a rider that finishes 15th in every race all year, therefore scoring 1 point every time, should also be champion. It doesn't work like that.

Ok, very sorry, imo with Brookes having most points threw out the hole season and with only a few times out of the top 4, with shaky starting a bit slow and out with injury, I think Brookes is champ, but showdown bit shaky last year so maybe it will help Brookes next. But I do think shaky did not have the best bike.

There have been World Champs that never won a race in their championship season. Andrew Pitt for Kawasaki in WSS for instance. So consistency is a valid way of winning a championship but it can be boring, so they introduced the Chase (Nascar) or Showdown (BSB) concept to make the riders/drivers RACE and not dawdle around for points.

Disappointed that Haga did not make the top ten. I agree he did not perform as well as expected. However he came to race against lost of guys that have been riding those tracks for years. He literally had slim to none track knowledge of most the tracks. Cheers
