Shakey is by far the best rider in BSB now that Lavilla and Kiyo have left(also with the best bike and team). In 2003 he won WSB races as a wild card - he hasn't lost that speed so provided the bike is good enough he'll do fine in WSB next year.

cQuakey - yes the fours in WSB run race pistons and rods, but so do the Ducatis - the BSB spec ones run the standard three ring piston and consequently have the rev limiter set 500 rpm dowm on the WSB spec Dukes.

GSE have already stated that for any wildcard rounds in '08 they'll run full WSB spec bikes, which makes a whole lot of sense if they're planning to be in WSBK full time next year. The wildcard rounds will be more than just a bit of fun and publicity, they'll be very much a yardstick for next year. So it won't be a big hardship to run race spec pistions and rods will it.
