It was actually a very good race. Bit of a lottery on tyre choice. Well done to Rutter - tremendous speed from Crutchlow when the track matched his slicks at the end, but great race craft from Byrne to keep the much faster Crutchlow behind when his tyres were past their best.

"Nobody even bothered commenting.......until now that is.... is it even called commenting if you've commented that there is no commenting?? Hello?? Hello???"

No one cares about BSB anymore. It's lost all relevance this year.

BSB this year is on the decline because:
1. All the best riders have left.
2. The rules don't mirror WSB anymore.
3. The TV coverage is crap / non-existent.
Writing was on the wall when JP took over from Dorna.
Still, these things go in cycles ... we have had 5 or 6 good years, now we have to expect the opposite. After a while, another change of ownership, and things improve again. Just the way it is.

Well, how about this for a comment?
Mallory Park is a poxy little circuit that has no business hosing a superbike event.
Ridiculous that much better facilities such as Rockingham never get a look-in, and this dreadful, boring, bumpy, dangerous 'friendly' circuit still persists on the agenda.

Dangerous? Give me a break. TT, thats dangerous, Ulster GP thats dangerous. Mallory? Nah. But it is a pretty boring track. I don't really rate Rockingham, its a crappy oval with a pretty poor infield, but it would be an improvement on Mallory.

Im not sure TV coverage is that big an issue, apart from the couple of years on ITV, terrestrial coverage has always been poor. The field is a little lacking in quality at the moment, but I think it's mainly the rules which wasn't JP's fault.

Don't worry, Mallory won't feature next year. It'll be brands, oulton, snetterton, cadwell - all the MSV circuits, and TV coverage will be entitled 'An audience with Jonathon Palmer'
