The best solution for BSB from a financial point to help the teams is to go to 17 inch wheels in 2013 and let the teams use the treaded tyres that are road legal that are used on the superstock bikes and then the Used tyres that cost each rider approx 1500 pound a round will have a resale value for trackday/club racers and road riders. The superstock bikes are approaching 200bhp now and some models already achieve that figure and they manage ok on treaded tyres.
The last thing we need in BSB is WSBK left over heatcycled 16.5 Pirelli slicks on old fatiqued 16.5 magnesium wheels.
I don't know what happened to Victor Cox's rear wheel at Assen and i wouldn't like to speculate but I hope I never see anything like that again.A very lucky boy to walk away from a horrific looking incident.
