Official statement: Croft

The Croft circuit has lost its appeal against having to pay damages to three people who claim their lives have been affected by 'noise nuisance'.

The following is an official statement from the Croft circuit:

"Croft Promosport Ltd is extremely disappointed with the Court of Appeal's decision today in relation to the recent High Court Judgment, which has serious implications for the circuit and the motor racing industry generally.

"We are reviewing the position carefully and would not wish to make any further comment at this stage."

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Floodgates are about to open. Standby for money-grabbing residents near circuits all over the UK to start making claims against the noise. What a disgrace!

I have never visited croft or any racetrack in England. So i am not sure as to the local landscape and commercial economy. I hope that these selfish people are made to feel responsible for the demise of their local tourism economy when this track is forced to close its doors to pay this ridiculous amount of money. I also hope the land is sold to the most obnoxious developers of all time and that their lives will be filled with misery on a continuous basis. Denying these facilities to hobbyists is despicable.
