MIST brings BSB entry list up to 30

MIST Suzuki have become the latest team to announce their plans to compete in this year's bumper British Superbike Championship, bringing the total number of entries up to 30.

The team have been competing on the World and European stage in recent years, participating in the FIM Superstock Cup and European Superstock 600 Championship. However, they will return to Britain for 2009 by entering a single Suzuki GSX-R1000 bike for Matt Bond in the Superbike Cup.

Team owner Mike Edwards is confident their experiences on an international platform will prepare them well for the challenges of the British national series.

''Matt and the team last raced in the UK on an SV650 back in 2005. After three years racing in Europe and competing with the best young riders in the world we are looking forward to taking the next step with a move in to the Superbike class in the British Championship.

“Fresh from our recent test of the new GSXR1000 K9 we are confident of doing well in the British Superbike Cup Championship, despite not having long before the first round, and have put together a strong team to build and run the bike for the season ahead.''
