Da Costa pleased with Kawasaki progress

Julien Da Costa says he is happy with the progress of the MSS Colchester Kawasaki team after a full day of testing at Brands Hatch.

Although the team was reduced to just one rider after Simon Andrews injured himself in a fall at Mallory Park earlier in the week, Da Costa was on hand to conduct their latest test as he continues to become reacquainted with the series he last competed in four years ago.

Continuing to make improvements throughout the day, Da Costa is satisfied that MSS Colchester will arrive at the opening round of the British Superbike Championship with a competitive package.

"The weather did make it a bit difficult today but we were lucky that we were able to get out on track for some dry sessions,” he told the British Superbike website. “We have been working on the electronics as there is so much scope for changes that the smallest change can make such a difference.

“I have been happy with the progress we have made today and we are back out at Snetterton tomorrow so we can continue to make changes after what we have learnt today. Lap by lap we are seeing an improvement and this is what is important.

“I am looking forward to our test tomorrow and then of course the first race, at the moment it is so hard to predict what will happen at Brands Hatch so it is going to be interesting for sure."
