Simon Andrews is in a buoyant mood ahead of the opening round of the British Superbike Championship, where he will make his debut with the MSS Colchester Kawasaki team.
Although his preparations have been hampered by a shoulder injury, one that forced him to skip a planned test session at Brands Hatch, Andrews is enjoying his time with his new team having made the switch from Jentin Racing over the winter.
Insisting the ZX-10R suits his style of riding, Andrews says he is looking forward to getting out on track alongside his rivals for the first time at Brands Hatch to see exactly where he will feature in 2009.
“I'm having a lot of fun with the boys, the boss (Nick Morgan) takes everything in his stride and that takes some doing, getting used to my sense of humour at the same time as running a Superbike team!
I really like the Kawasaki, the ZX-10R handles very well and suites my style, it also produces a huge amount of power. I can't wait to see just what it can do against the other bikes on Easter Monday, bring it on!”
