Sylvain Guintoli hints there is more to come from him ahead of his British Superbike Championship debut at Brands Hatch after a choosing to keep his running fairly minimal on day two of free practice.

The Worx Crescent Suzuki rider was one of the few riders to venture onto the circuit during the damp third free practice session of the weekend on Friday, but he decided not to partake in a similarly damp fourth session on Saturday.

With traffic hampering his efforts in fifth free practice to leave him seventh quickest at the end of day two, Guintoli is looking forward to revealing his 'proper pace' in qualifying and the races.

"Things are going well," he told Crash.net Radio. "We had our first laps in the wet yesterday and I felt very confident - I like the general feeling of the bike in the wet. So, in FP4 when the track was drying we decided not to go out.

"It was a little frustrating in the afternoon because we had a little problem and I couldn't find a clear lap, so my best lap times were at the end when the tyre was 20 laps old. So I am looking forward to qualifying to find some proper pace again.

"This track is quite special in terms of rhythm. However, I feel confident with the bike and it doesn't need major changes, so I just need to find my rhythm."
