SMT delighted with O'Halloran

SMT Honda team owner Robin Croft has lauded rider Jason O'Halloran as a 'superstar in the making' after another assured performance at Oulton Park placed him eighth in the overall standings.

The Australian once again proved his mettle in the races, finishing eighth in the first race before adding a tenth to his score sheet in the second.

With Croft insisting that the team would be enjoying greater success with more financial support, he is nonetheless delighted to have O'Halloran on board

“We're so happy with Jason's performances and he's been a breath of fresh air ever since he joined the team. The feedback he's giving the mechanics and his appetite for success is allowing us to move forward all the time and there's no doubt in my mind that he's a superstar in the making.

“He's proving that the factory teams and riders can be beaten and we're edging closer all the time. We're only a small team and are operating on a very limited budget but we're making our presence felt and I'm sure if we could secure a bit more financial support we'd be running in the top six on a regular basis.”

Robin is absolutely right about Jason. Janson and SMT are a really exciting combination and one of the few combinations who regularly make their way up the the field in a race (Sylvain Guiltoli is an ace at doing that but Janson is not far behind) . I hope that SMT will get the resources they need. They have the will and talent to be in the top 5.
