Graeme Gowland is confident he will be fit enough to race after suffering his second big accident in as many rounds during British Superbike qualifying at Donington Park.

Gowland was forced to sit out the Oulton Park event after injuring his shoulder during Superpole, an accident he would replicate during the same session at Donington Park when an engine problem caused him to fall.

Nonetheless, while the accident would prompt a red flag period, Gowland insists he is feeling nothing more than 'a bit battered'.

"That was a massive crash! My engine had a problem at a very fast section and pitched me over the bars! I feel a bit battered, I will check in with the physio in the morning but I should be OK for the race.

"Up until then I have had a great weekend and feel I have a good set up for race day"

Gowland completed just a handful of warm-up laps in order to shakedown his rebuilt Yamaha.
