James Ellison is already looking ahead to Snetterton after scoring a pair of podiums in the latest round of the ViSK.com British Superbike Championship at Thruxton.
The Airwaves Yamaha rider, a first time winner last time out at Donington Park, made good starts in both races to get the jump on pole sitting team-mate Leon Camier and lead through the opening bends.
However, Ellison could do nothing to prevent the charge of Camier as he swept through on both occasions, forcing him to follow home at a distance in second position.
Nonetheless, the results see Ellison strengthen his second position in the standings, 38 points adrift of six-time race winner Camier.
“After struggling at the start of this weekend, a double podium is a fantastic result,” he said. “Leon rode superbly in both races, so congratulations to him. The Airwaves Yamaha is such a good bike to ride, I'm having so much fun and I can't wait to get to Snetterton,”
