Tommy Hill began his preparations for the 2010 British Superbike Championship season by becoming reacquainted with his former Worx Crescent Suzuki mount at Mallory Park.

Returning to the scene of his Suzuki debut - where he caused a stir by qualifying on the front row - the former World Superbike rider used the time to get comfortable on the GSX-R1000 having ended the 2009 season riding the Hydrex Honda.

Although difficult weather conditions conspired against him, Hill was pleased with the initial progress being made.

"It was fantastic to get back working with the Worx Crescent Suzuki team again and really continue where we left off last time I was riding for them. I approached the test knowing the weather wasn't going to be the best, as it never really is this time of the year but considering the high wind and rain, we still managed to get a good few laps clocked in and got into a good pace.

"We also worked through some parts we are testing for 2010. Basically I'm just happy that I got myself back on the Suzuki, got a few laps in and leaving the test I'm feeling very optimistic. I can't wait to get back on the bike and start working together with the team again over the winter."

Hill, who started five races for the factory Suzuki team in 2009, will be joined by World Superbike race winner Yukio Kagayama next season.
