Kenny Gilbertson is the second rider to confirm his participation in the British Superbike Evo category after signing for the Magic Bullet Racing in association with Two Wheel Tuning.
Gilbertson started the 2009 season with JX Fuelcard Kawasaki, finishing the year classified sixth in the Cup standings with a best result of third in class at Mallory Park.
Switching to the newly formed team for the 2010 season, Magic Bullet Racing will enter a Suzuki GSX-R1000 for Gilbertson and he is confident he can mount a title challenge.
"I'm excited to be on board with Magic Bullet Racing and Dave Tyson of Two Wheel Tuning. Evo is the class to be in as it is part of British Superbikes and with the rules changing as it progresses into 2011 it's ideal.
“As it is a new class it is a clean slate for everyone and this is my first time with Magic Bullet Racing, so it is a learning curve for us all. I want to be consistent and we have plenty of testing planned to find our feet before the season starts.
“I want to be challenging for podiums and solid results every weekend. Also as Evo runs within Superbike I want to finish as high up the main results as possible."
So far, only Gilbertson and Moto Rapido Ducati rider Scott Smart have committed to the new Evo-specification class.
