Motorpoint Yahama will be awesome, says Linfoot

Dan Linfoot: This is going to be my biggest year, and biggest opportunity ever and I'm really excited to work with my team and Neil Hodgson to repay everybody for their hard work.
Dan Linfoot has said he is more determined than ever to try and mix it with some of the world's best and established racers this year when he graduates full-time to the 2010 MCE British Superbike Championship.

Linfoot was confirmed alongside Neil Hodgson at the Rob Mac Racing-run Motorpoint Yamaha team back in October and with testing coming up in Spain he can't wait to continue his preparations for the April season opener at Brands Hatch.

Indeed he has been working hard recently on his fitness and claims that he has lost around 7lbs.

"With it now being mid February and testing only less than three weeks away, I am really excited about riding the Motorpoint Yamaha again," he told the official BSB website. "I know the guys back at base have been working extremely hard on the final touches of the bikes, and it is going to be awesome.

"Likewise, I have been putting in more hours than ever with regards to my training. I have been spending two hours a day in the gym - doing running, weights, and swimming, up to 140 miles per week cycling and been running a few times a week too. I popped over to the team's workshop on my bike the other day for a brew with the mechanics. I've lost 7lbs since the end of last year and I am more determined than ever to get on the bike and mix it with some of the world's best and established superbike racers.

"I know there's been a massive effort from Yamaha, Motorpoint, Node4, StoneBaker and Nitro to get this year together and I can't thank each and every one of the team's partners enough for making this happen.

"This is going to be my biggest year, and biggest opportunity ever and I'm really excited to work with my team and Neil Hodgson to repay everybody for their hard work.

"BSB 2010 is going to be as strong as ever, and I am over the moon to be part of it," he summed-up.

rob mac collected the factory r1's with andy smith from gse HQ a few weeks ago, so it could be an interesting season. Hodgson is past it but DL could well be the surprise of the season

I think this team turned a corner when Ellison tested the bike its a shame they couldn't sign Ellison, I would think it would be in Yamaha's interest to help with factory parts. But the big issue has to be Hodgsons shoulder he still isn't able to do weight training, but saying that if his shoulder is ok he will fly.
