Kagayama pushes on despite injury

Yukio Kagayama proves competitive during testing at Guadix, despite feeling the effects of a cracked rib
Yukio Kagayama admits he was forced to take painkillers through the latest British Superbike test at Guadix after cracking a rib in an accident last week, although the Japanese rider says he is now looking forward to getting back to racing.

The former World Superbike Championship rider, who will make his return to the domestic series this season, hurt himself in a fall during testing at Cartagena.

Forced to sit out the opening day of action at Guadix, Kagayama pushed on during days two and three, getting his best lap time down to 1min 14.0secs, just two tenths off Worx Crescent Suzuki team-mate Tommy Hill.

"I sat out the first day of testing here at Guadix after I found I cracked a rib in the crash at Cartagena. It's been uncomfortable and that's meant painkillers for the past three days, but we've been able to carry on the full programme of testing. Now, I'm really looking forward to the racing."

Well hopefully he won't put these new ones through the testing regime that he's subjected his other leather manufacturers to. Well, you couldn't ever say he's not a tough bastard!

Looks like Yukio ditched Spidi for Hyod leathers now. Good quality suits & on par with the top AlpineStars, Dainese stuff but hard to find them outside of Japan.
