Ryuichi Kiyonari is confident HM Plant Honda have got to the bottom of the problems that stymied his progress at Thruxton as he bids to add to his six wins around the Oulton Park circuit this weekend.

After scoring pole position and a second place finish on his full-time return to the series at Brands Hatch, Kiyonari could only manage 13th on the grid around the high-speed Trhuxton circuit, although he did follow it with ninth and fourth place results.

Since then, the former champion has tested at Darley Moor to iron out some issues with the CBR1000RR, the Japanese rider now feeling better about his chances as Oulton Park approaches.

"I like this circuit and have won there six times in the past - it is difficult to ride, up and down, very twisty, many different corners. Hard to set-up the bike but I like it.

"We have worked on the bike since Thruxton where we had a few problems, but we have solved them at our test at Darley Moor and now I want to be at the front at Oulton Park and on the podium. I will have to push hard to be at the front."
