Steve Brogan has enjoyed his first taste of the new Silverstone Arena circuit after spending a day testing at the Northamptonshire venue.
Brogan currently sits third in the British Superbike Championship's new Evo Class onboard his Jentin Racing BMW and used the test at Silverstone to learn the new circuit and also make improvements to the control ECU fitted to his bike.
During the course of the day, Brogan completed around 50 laps of the new-look layout and was impressed with both the circuit and the changes made to his machine.
"I have had a really good day,” he told the official BSB website. “I spent the morning learning the circuit and ironing out a few minor problems that we found at Oulton Park. Overall it has been a great day, Motec have worked really hard with us on the bike set up and I am leaving Silverstone happy and confident that we can get back on the top step at Cadwell Park.
"Towards the end of the day I virtually had the track to myself. It was brilliant and if it wasn't for the lack of fans there I felt like I could have been Valentino Rossi! Every time I overtook someone I imagined it was Casey Stoner for the race win! I really can't wait until we come back here in September as the track is so much better, my only criticism is that it is a little bumpy in places."
