Stuart Easton raised hopes of a home turf pole position as he topped the third and final free practice session at Knockhill.

The Scot, who has started from a British Superbike pole position just once, set the fastest time of the weekend so far to edge out FP2 pace setter Michael Laverty on the Relentless Suzuki.

His team-mate Alastair Seeley rose up the order to set the third quickest time, marginally ahead of Suzuki counterpart Tommy Hill and Mallory Park double winner Ryuichi Kiyonari.

Michael Rutter was sixth fastest, ahead of Kawasaki's Simon Andrews, Chris Walker on the privateer Suzuki, John Laverty and Tommy Bridewell.

Elsewhere, Andrew Pitt continued to creep up the timesheets on his first visit to Knockhill in 11th, marginally ahead of his team-mate Dan Linfoot, and title chaser Josh Brookes.
