Harris returns to Supersport series

Karl Harris returns to the championship where he made his name after penning a deal with Oxford TAG Triumph.
Karl Harris has announced he will be returning to the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship for the remainder of the season after agreeing terms with Oxford TAG Triumph.

A return to the series that he won on three occasions in 2001, 2002 and 2003, Harris is looking to rediscover his best form after a season spent mostly on the sidelines.

Harris will take on the Triumph Daytona 675 for the first time at Brands Hatch, where he will look to build on a superb Supersport record that has seen him win 18 races and 12 podiums over the years.

Coming after he showed good pace on a two-year-old Yamaha during a one-off Superbike outing at Mallory Park, Harris is determined to end his year better than it has started.

"I know I have said it a couple of times already this season, but I am ready to show what I can do again. I am really feeling fired up about being back in the Supersport class as that is where I have done the most damage really and you are always guaranteed a good old fight with those boys.

“I know that we can put in a good result on the Triumph and we can both have a good end to our season, so Brands Hatch is where the talking stops and we will let our on track performances do the talking."

All the good bikes! he's ridden for Honda & Yamaha and the yam was crap when he had it. Wrecked them all! he was taken out more times than I can remember including when lying 4th in the championship. 3 supersport championships arn't won without talent, I'd like to see him on a decent package with some decent luck, it's about time his luck changed
