Tommy Hill returns to the scene of his first MCE British Superbike win of the season at Brands Hatch looking to replicate the form that saw him emerge as an immediate title contender.

Hill sprinted out of the blocks at the Brands Hatch curtain raiser earlier this season, winning one race and finishing second in the other, although this weekend's triple-header will take place on the Grand Prix circuit this time.

Four months and six events later and Hill is still clinging onto the championship lead, though he is coming under pressure from Josh Brookes and Ryuichi Kiyonari.

Regardless, Hill looks well on course to qualify for the impending 'title showdown', making this weekend more about merely getting the psychological edge on his rivals.

"We're looking forward to this weekend, it's shaping up to be the toughest round of the series yet," said Hill's Worx Crescent Suzuki team boss Jack Valentine. "Many of the teams in BSB have started to sort their bike set-ups and its noticeably tighter at the head of the pack - and this weekend we'll have even more competition with two WSB riders joining the BSB paddock.

"There's a lot of pressure on Tommy but he's proven his strength by standing up to the pressure virtually alone, as with Yuki being on-and-off injured most of the season it's almost been like a one-rider team.

"So Tommy's up for the fight and he'll be looking to secure podium points as we got ever closer to the end-of-year Showdown."
