Andrew Pitt has been diagnosed with a broken collarbone following his accident during the second British Superbike race of the weekend at Brands Hatch.

Pitt was thrown from his Motorpoint Yamaha at speed when he struck the stricken and unsighted Suzuki of Alastair Seeley on the exit of Surtees, the Ulsterman having crashed on his own moments before.

Tended to on track, Pitt was taken to the medical centre before being transferred to hospital where he was confirmed to have broken his collarbone in three places.
