Tommy Hill insists he will be going all out for victory at Cadwell Park, despite having already qualified for the impending British Superbike title showdown.
Hill can afford to have a poor weekend at Cadwell Park as his points will be equalised along with five of his rivals as they progress towards a three-round shootout for the 2010 BSB title.
Even so, the Worx Crescent Suzuki rider – who is currently classified in second behind Ryuichi Kiyonari – is keeping his eye on the podium credits that get added onto the equalised score of '500' following this event.
Currently armed with 20 credits – Kiyonari has 23 –, Hill is aware that missing out on an extra point this weekend could still prove detrimental to his title chances.
"We may be safely in the top six but I don't think you can underestimate how important the Podium Credits are at this stage,” he told the British Superbike website. “They are so important and so the best podium finish possible is the aim for sure.
“I don't want to settle for a place and then miss out at the end of the season by just a single point as I would have to punch myself! This is the last chance and it is critical as every Credit counts, so we will be doing all we can this weekend for sure."
