PR Racing joins Kawasaki stable

PR Racing joins the Kawasaki stable for the 2011 British Superbike Championship.
PR Racing will return to the British Superbike Championship in 2011 with backing from Kawasaki Motors UK after confirming its switch from Yamaha.

The team began the 2010 season with Luke Jones riding a Yamaha R1, but the youngster managed just six race starts after undergoing surgery for arm pump issues.

Nonetheless, PR Racing will embark on a full scale return to the British Superbike Championship next season with Kawasaki when they will take delivery of a brand-new ZX-10R from the manufacturer's UK arm.

“As a new Kawasaki team, we aim to help build Kawasaki's profile for the new Ninja ZX-10R,” said team director Julian Mosquera. “We are a team always looking to improve and believe this partnership has the potential for PR Racing to re-establish itself in the BSB Championship."

In his six races with the team, Jones managed a best finish of 12th at the Brands Hatch season opener.
