Michael Laverty is keen to continue with the Relentless Suzuki team for the 2011 British Superbike Championship following the announcement that it will be the manufacturer's factory representative next season.

Laverty marked his return to the BSB in 2010 by emerging as an outside title contender, the Ulsterman establishing himself as a regular front runner with two wins - his first at BSB level - and nine podiums.

Ending the year with fourth in the standings, Laverty is keen to continue his partnership with the Relentless team and is confident he will be able to secure a deal in the coming weeks.

I fly back to Ireland later this week to have a sit down with Philip Neill with regards to next season," he told the British Superbike website. "I've had some interesting options present themselves for next year but staying onboard with Suzuki and the TAS team has always been a priority for me, providing we can put a deal together!

"I want to build on what we achieved this season, put in a whole season at the level we arrived at for the Showdown and hopefully raise our game even further.

"So I will hopefully have my ride sorted for 2011 over the next few weeks, then it will be time to start working on the rest of my personal deals. I hope to keep all the people involved who helped me this season and maybe add a few new ones."

Relentless by TAS will take over from Crescent as the official Suzuki representative in British Superbikes next season.
