Supersport racer Kneen graduates to BSB Evo

The Manxman will compete on the British Superbike stage for the first time this season aboard a ZX-10R.
Dan Kneen will make his British Superbike Championship debut in 2011 after receiving backing from Kawasaki UK to enter the Evo category.

The 23-year-old finished runner-up in the British Supersport Cup Championship in 2010 riding a Yamaha, but will make the switch to Kawasaki for his assault on the BSB Evo series.

Continuing to race under the Mark Bloom Racing banner, Kneen has also secured some backing from Kawasaki UK to participate in this season.

"Like so many riders looking for podiums in 2011, Dan has chosen the new Ninja ZX-10R,” said Kawasaki UK's Ross Burridge. “His track record so far, allied to the support of loyal and enthusiastic sponsors, looks set to produce the perfect platform for his future success on Kawasaki machinery."

Kneen has also scored top ten finishes at the Isle of Man TT and North West 200.

Mega! Hope the Kawasaki is as good as it sounds!! Dan is perfect choice for BSB Evo not just as a sharpener for the roads but a genuine BSB future and a top lad as well. Great Macau and UGP debut as well last year and one of the best if under rated performances at the TT. Look after him Mark Bloom you've chosen well............. and good luck fella!
