The 2011 British Superbike EVO ranks continue to grow after Tom Tunstall confirmed he will add his name to the entry list with the Doodson Motorsport team.
The former BSB Cup contender stepped up to the championship class in 2010, the 32-year-old ending the season 26th overall but showing he was capable of regular point scoring finishes towards the close of the year.
Nonetheless, for 2011, Tunstall will revert to the EVO class with the same team in an effort to challenge for the title, the Huddersfield man hoping his experience will pay dividends.
"Moving to the Evo class is a logical step for us, the championship is certainly stepping up a level in 2011. With riders who've scored podiums in the main class and top teams signed up, this increases not only the challenge but also the credibility of the class.
“I would like to thank Doodson for their continued commitment and I am determined to repay them with results. Our goal for 2011 is very clear and with only two weeks before our first test, we are working hard to give ourselves the best opportunity to accomplish them.
“With track time scheduled in both Spain and the UK we aim to be fully prepared and ready when the season kicks off at Easter."
Tunstall's entry brings the list of EVO competitors up to ten and the overall BSB grid to 31.
