Reigning Superstock 600 champion Josh Day will compete in the British Superbike EVO Championship this season after confirming he will graduate aboard a Kawasaki.
The 20-year-old sealed the 2010 SSTK 600 crown for AIR Racing after a season-long battle with Luke Stapleford, one that would see him claim the title by a mere point.
Sticking with AIR Racing, but moving from Yamaha to Kawasaki machinery, Day was thrilled to be getting the chance to compete on the main BSB stage in 2011.
"With my Championship win in the Superstock 600 class last year, I'm really looking forward to the next step in my career with the Evo class on the new ZX10R.
“After testing for the first time on a 1000cc with the team in Jerez, I knew it is the right decision to move up to the Evo class, and with the support of Air Racing I believe they will deliver the right package for me to compete at the highest level."
Day is the 13th rider to commit to the 2011 BSB EVO category.
