Reigning British Superbike Champion Ryuichi Kiyonari says he is relishing the challenge of winning a fourth title as he readies himself for the start of pre-season testing.

The HM Plant Honda man is one of only two riders who finished inside the overall top ten standings last year to be sticking with the same team-bike combination in 2011 (the other being Michael Rutter).

It is competition he is keen to size up at the first pre-season test of the year in Spain, not least from within his own camp as he will be joined for the first time by former champion - and ex-WSBK rider - Shane Byrne.

"I am a little nervous, but I always am when we first get back on the bike after a winter off as I haven't ridden for a few months," he said. "Everything will be different this season with new riders and that means new competition for me, which makes me happy as it is another challenge.

"In Spain we know what we did last year, so I hope for good weather and be able to improve my speed and go faster than before. We want a good test as I know it is going to be another tough season and I won't be happy unless I am winning or finishing on the podium in every race."
