Steve Brogan has become the first person to sample a lap of the revised Snetterton circuit ahead of its integration into this year's motorsport calendar.
The reigning British Superbike EVO champion, who will this year ride in the championship class aboard a Jentin Honda, took to the Norfolk circuit to experience the heavily revised layout.
Riding a Honda Fireblade, Brogan was impressed with the changes, which have seen organisers cut into the infield at the start of the Revett straight to extend the lap and improve the chances of overtaking.
“To be the first person to ever do a lap of the new circuit was awesome; it has been transformed and it will definitely produce more exciting racing without a doubt.
“The viewing is great and the fans will get an even better show at BSB in July as there are far more overtaking opportunities now and some places we can push that bit harder. I wasn't expecting such a difference and this will be one of the top tracks in the country now.”
As well as BSB, Snetterton will also host a round of the British Touring Car Championship.
