Easton expecting 'busy' Brands opener

Stuart Easton will be one of nearly 40 bikes jostling for room on the tight Brands Hatch Indy circuit this weekend.
Stuart Easton is expecting the opening round of the 2011 British Superbike Championship to be busy on track as he gets ready for his race return with MSS Colchester Kawasaki.

Easton, who finished third overall in 2009 with Hydrex Honda, returns to the team he raced with in 2008 looking to take advantage of the new Kawasaki ZX-10R, a bike he has tested extensively over the winter.

Though he thinks the short Brands Hatch layout is not ideal for what will be 39 Superbikes on track, Easton is looking forward to be getting back to racing.

“I like Brands but the Indy circuit is very short for nearly 40 bikes! I like every corner though so I feel confident and the bike should be even better with its new exhaust and cams. I need two string finishes in round one but who knows what we at MSS can achieve…”

As one of the few riders to re-sign over the winter, Gary Mason is determined to produce better results this season after a frustrating campaign in 2010.

“The timing is spot on really, it's all been building, building…. Need to make all the testing and teamwork pay off now, I feel so focused to try and do well from the off.”
