Jenny Tinmouth's history-making British Superbike race debut has been put on hold after Splitlath Motorsport was forced to withdraw her bike due to a parts issue.
Tinmouth was set to become the first female rider to compete in BSB at Brands Hatch this weekend, but a delay in getting parts from Aprilia means the team will only be able to run Hudson Kennaugh this weekend.
Even so, Tinmouth will not have long to make her debut with her home event of Oulton Park occurring in just a week's time.
"We are obviously very disappointed that Jenny has not been able to compete this weekend, especially after the tremendous effort made by both the team and Aprilia Racing in Italy,” said team manager John Dimbylow.
“We will now concentrate our efforts on getting Jenny prepared for her racing debut at home round at Oulton Park next weekend."
