Splitlath Aprilia signs Mark Miller

Former AMA Superbike rider and successful road racer Mark Miller joins the BSB ranks after signing with Splitlath Aprilia.
Splitlath Aprilia will be back to full strength for the Knockhill round of the MCE British Superbike Championship after signing renowned road racer Mark Miller.

The American, who has enjoyed notable success at the Macau Grand Prix over the years, competed with Splitlath at this year's Isle of Man TT, Miller finishing a credible 23rd in the Senior TT aboard a stock-specification Aprilia RSV-4.

Now Miller will be given his chance to make his short circuit debut at BSB level as he comes on board to replace Jenny Tinmouth, who split with the team following the third round at Croft.

“The British Superbike Championship has been and remains one of the top-tier, most competitive, national championships in the world, and I'm looking forward to giving it a go against a deep field of quality international riders, some of which I know well from racing the TT and Macau Grand Prix,” he said.

“I want to say a big thanks to the Splitlath Motorsport team for inviting me to join their BSB campaign. The RSV-4 is a proven force against machines in the EVO trim so myself and the boys will be working hard to put forward a maximum effort in what will be our first outing at a conventional racing circuit.

“The Italian V4 engine is so enjoyable to drive out of the corners and the chassis so nimble, the bike should bode well at this sub-minute Knockhill venue.”

Miller, who will partner Hudson Kennaugh, will be the second American to make his BSB debut this weekend following the announcement that Jake Zemke has signed with WFR Honda.
