MSS Colchester Kawasaki are looking forward to BSB's first trip to the new Snetterton 300 circuit - the team's home track and one that should suit the Ninja ZX-10R.
Gary Mason is discovering a fine run of form and now within ten points of Peter Hickman and what should turn out to be the final place in the Shootout top six.
“I'm really looking forward to the Snetterton round," said Mason. "We tested here at the start of the year and I love the new layout, it has certainly improved the track. Since then we have moved the development of the Ninja ZX-10R on a huge amount and I think we should be very strong. After the last couple of rounds my confidence is really high and that's down to the team giving me the right tool to get the job done. Hopefully I can reward their hard work with another podium.”
Team-mate and stand-in star Alex Lowes, recently confirmed on a Ten Kate Honda for the mid-July Brno WSBK round, is desperate to impress after a couple of heavy falls.
“I like the new Snetterton, although I reckon the new section will be quite tricky to pass people on the whole circuit is much more fun to ride than before," he said. "After the disappointment of Knockhill I have been trying to focus on other things and have been training really hard so I can give it my all at Snetterton. I'm hoping for a dry weekend and two solid results.”
“After a few long drives it's great to race at a circuit close to home," commented team owner Nick Morgan. "The owners have done a lot of work at the track and the new layout is superb, it should produce really good racing and having tested here at the start of the year the signs are that it suits our bikes. Hopefully we will get a dry race and can give the home supporters something to cheer about.”
