John Hopkins returns to the scene of his first BSB victory this weekend, as the 2011 championship makes it second and final visit of the season to Oulton Park.

Former MotoGP star Hopkins, competing in his first BSB season, took 2-1 finishes at Oulton in early May and this weekend's event will mark the first time the American arrives at a track he has already raced on.

Hopkins starts round seven holding second in the championship, 19 points behind Shane Byrne, having taken his second win of the season at the previous Snetterton round.

"I'm really starting to find my feet in this series," said the Samsung Crescent Suzuki rider. "Returning to Oulton Park should be great for us as for the first time I'll have my own base data to work from on set-up.

"As well, our bike just feels better and better, so I'm in a far stronger position coming to this track, this time around. I shall be shooting for wins as much as podiums."

"I'm sure Hopper will continue to build on his successes and we should see strong performances from him this weekend, hopefully yet more wins!" stated team manager Jack Valentine.

But while Hopkins has all but booked his place in the title-deciding Shootout, team-mate Jon Kirkham needs to break into the top-six before the round ten cut-off.

Lying just seven points from sixth, Kirkham is seeking two strong rides this weekend.

"I'm looking forward to coming back to Oulton Park," said Kirkham, who clocked two seventh place finishes in the early May event. "I love the track and having done well here earlier this year it gives me a good base from which to attack this weekend.

"We'll be trying a new chassis setting and I'll definitely be practicing my start techniques. The plan has to be to ride to two strong finishes and push my way into the top-six Title Fighters."
