Shane Byrne says he is determined to get back to winning ways at Oulton Park after missing out on the top step of the podium at Snetterton.

The HM Plant Honda rider looked on course to extend his advantage in the British Superbike Championship standings as he led race two at Snetterton, but contact with John Hopkins on the final lap dropped him to fourth at the chequered flag.

Nonetheless, Byrne is determined to make amends at Oulton Park, even if he felt as though he didn't so well there earlier in the season.

"Oulton Park is a track I have mixed feelings about because I really like the track but earlier in the season we did struggle a bit there and at the time I was so happy to have taken a third and fourth place.

"Let's not forget though that we have made big steps forward since then so I am feeling pretty excited about the races this weekend. After Snetterton I am really pumped to go back out there and take another win for HM Plant Honda."
