Ryuichi Kiyonari says he will be targeting more MCE British Superbike Championship wins at Oulton Park as he bids to strengthen his renewed title challenge.
Kiyonari returned to the top step of the podium last time out at Snetterton, ending a run of disappointing form and moving him into a safer position in the fight for a top six showdown spot.
Prior to his Snetterton success, Kiyonari was last on the podium at Oulton Park when the BSB visited the circuit for the second round of the season. Scoring a victory there, Kiyonari is aware that he will be considered one of the favourites for victory, but is sure there will be a 'big fight' all the same.
“I need to be more aggressive this weekend from the start,” the HM Plant Honda rider said. “At Oulton Park you need a lot of confidence to push hard so we again will work hard from free practice to get it right. I feel happy with the HM Plant Honda Fireblade and we have made improvement since the last round at Oulton Park when we won.
“A lot of people probably think I am one of the favourites for this weekend because I have had good results there before; I want to win again for our championship but I think there will be a big fight as everyone wants to win.”
