Tommy Hill heads to the seventh round of the 2011 MCE British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park bidding to finish what he started after he was forced out of an earlier round at the same circuit.
The Swan Yamaha was dominating the first Oulton Park event of the year, which was held as the second round, when a crash during pre-race warm-up forced him to miss the two races.
Sustaining a shoulder injury that has hampered him since, Hill is nonetheless a fairly comfortable third in the BSB standings and is well on course for a top six showdown spot for the second successive year.
With this in mind, Hill heads to Oulton Park looking to improve his Showdown standing by racking up more podium credits.
"After the nightmare of the second race at Snetterton I can't wait to get back out on track. We have to start where we left off this weekend and I am feeling confident as last time we were at Oulton Park we had a good set-up and everything was going good for us.
“We took the pole position inside the lap record but then I had the crash in warm-up and that put me two races behind everyone else so that makes it important to get back on the top step of the podium. Everyone is stepping up their game and so will we this weekend. It is so important now to get results and those all important podium credits."
