Kawasaki to wild-card at Brands BSB

The team will be looking for a repeat of their two victories with Sykes in 2010.
The World Superbike factory Kawasaki team has confirmed it will once again make a one-off wild-card appearance at the Brands Hatch round of the British Superbike Championship next month.

The Paul Bird-helmed squad has bolstered the BSB ranks for the last two seasons, with Broc Parkes and Sheridan Morais racing at Brands Hatch in 2009 before Tom Sykes claimed two wins aboard the ZX-10R last season.

Sykes will front Kawasaki's efforts once more, though he will be joined on this occasion by team-mate Joan Lascorz, who will be making his first Brands Hatch appearance since racing at World Supersport level in 2008.

The riders will be competing aboard the new ZX-10R that made its debut earlier this year, a bike that has seen a notable upturn in results on the world stage for the Japanese manufacturer, with Sykes scoring a pole position at Misano, while both he and Lascorz have achieved top five finishes this year.

Ther is a simple answer to WSB riders taking part in BSB, don't count them in the points allocation, If they win the race let the fist BSB rider take the full points & so on down the list of finnishers. WSB teams are not interested in the points so let them have the win, if they do win of course. Simples !!!!
